I came here to watch the Opera Cosi Fan Tutti which was performed brilliantly. The theatre is grand and beautiful and the acoustics are perfect for music and singing. It was like stepping back in time, in a good way that is. I really enjoyed seeing people dressed up for a night out and the atmosphere in auditorium. A perfect night out.

The show was good, I am not a massive opera fan, so the fact that I stayed awake through it is a compliment. I did like the building, it's architecture and atmosphere. The buffet was quite pricey, and the red wine unfit for consumption.

We have here in Perm one of the most wonderful ballet troops in the world, so make a visit. You'll say thanks.

We saw a performance of Brahms German Requiem. The orchestra was superb. The Opera and Ballet house is an intimate venue. If you are travelling to Perm, and enjoy classical music, this is a "must do"!

Perm Opera and Ballet theatre is one of the most famous in Russia.There are ballets and operas created by P.I.Chaikovsky in its repertoire.Dyagilev's festival takes place on the stage of the theatre every year in May. The Perm Ballet company cooperates with the G. Balanchin's Trust for many years which gives us the possibility to see the best ballets of Balanchin such as Serenada, Concerto Barocco , ballets Monumentum Progezualdo, Kammermusik N2 you can see only in Perm. The ballet" Svadebka" music by I.Stravinsky, choreograher I.Kilian is worth seeing.

The theatre really gets the best of the best, no matter what time of year from local theatre, opera, ballet and international touring artists. The facility itself is stunningly beautiful, wonderful staff and excellent acoustics. Highly recommend seeing a show!

Perm Opera and Ballet Theatre, as I have found out, is very well-known in Russia and in some other parts of the world, too. It is more about ballet than opera, and I advise you to watch the performance of the dancers. I personally watched “Zhizel” and “The Swan Lake” and I enjoyed both of the performances. The tickets are relatively expensive and sometimes difficult to buy (I was told they are very often sold out long before the night of the performance) but you can book them online on an event ticket broker website. It is sensible to buy them beforehand to be on the safe side.I believe this theatre is one of the best options for your night out in Perm. There is no dress code but if you want to blend in with the locals dress smart.

This theater has always been rated very high (after the Bolshoi and Mariinsky theaters), and is a must on the agenda of every visitor. The Swan Lake, Giselle and other ballets are staged there. Don't hesitate to visit and you won't be disappointed!
