We enjoyed a two week visit to the Kiama area. The harbour is lovely. Walking over to the Blowhole to check its action that day was always interesting. Made use of their 2 ocean rock pools … which was extremely enjoyable. Our favourite was the one closest to the Blowhole & Visitor Centre. Not only enjoyed our swims there but often found we became engaged in various conversations with people from the area … which led to tips on enhancing our travel experience. Attended their market … which was fabulous. Signs will be posted with times & dates. If possible, take that in … The harbour area is a great place to walk … you can keep going in either direction to land on another beach or to take in the lovely scenery along the way. Such a lovely and serene area!!

Definitely recommend taking a little walk around this harbour with its misty salty sea air. Beautiful cliffs in the distance and crashing waves on the sea shore, it's a beautiful harbour with great views. There's a cafe right on the wharf front called Fresh Fish and you can buy fresh fish from the Fish Market...enjoy the sea air!

Spent some time looking around the edge and at the boats that were docked. Also wet a line, and my son was fortunate to catch a Leather jacket and Rock Cod.

The harbor offers panoramic views of the beautiful surroundings - mountains and beaches. We had the best and freshest snapper ever at the "Hunky Dory" fish and chips shop.

Incredible ocean views, great boat harbour to walk around. Cafes and eateries galore. If the ocean swell is right you will see the incredible sight and sounds of the blow hole in full action. A great day out for everyone.

the pretty seaside town of Kiama is built around its small harbour. Moorings, a seafood outlet and small cafes are available. There is a boat ramp for small fishing boats and a wharf. Each Wednesday afternoon there is a Farmer's market and on certain weekends there are handicraft and produce markets on the harbour foreshore.

Kiama is a great place to visit with lots of restaurants and speciality shops.I went spear fishing in the harbour many years ago when that was acceptable behaviour. The harbour was full of fish then, particularly eels.. Today the water is much cleaner and no doubt the fish are even more abundant.Lovely to walk around the shore or sit on the grass and enjoy a sunny day.Around towards the lighthouse is a lovely rock pool for a swim.

A nice place to stroll around the harbour and wander in and out of the quaint specialty shops. Good to see the Blow Hole after 40 years.

This is a lovely place for a walk and a swim in the 2 rock pools.Have a burger or a smoothie at Neptunes - it's a funky, quirky little spot. Then walk past the boats to the fish market and pick up something to throw on the free barbecues that are dotted around the headland

We were there on NYE for fireworks lasting 15 minutes. Across from the Harbour, there's a fun fair with lots of traditional rides. People picnic-ed and sat around the grass area and the shore for a good look of the fireworks.

Lots of people estimate was 18,000 but not so crowded you couldn't breathe. A truly wonderful atmosphere with the water, the changing sky and of course the fireworks display. I had never seen smiley face fireworks before, really nice.

Kiama is a place to visit anytime of the year even for a Sunday drive. the Kiama flea markets by the harbor on 3rd weekend each month are a treasure trove of interesting items .

It is lovely just to walk up and down the harbour or just to sit down on the grass area and listen to the beautiful sound of the water and the smell of the ocean as you wander to the blow hole

There is something about the light in our Country and Kiama is a great example. I just love the sunlight shimmering across the water. Our skies are a beautiful colour, and it's so nice to spend some time just looking out at the water and relaxing. I am a chronic sufferer from seasickness, but I understand and appreciate a boaties love of all things water.
